Global Progress Assessment on Ocean Accounting (2022)

Note: an updated assessment was completed in 2025 and results will be shared publicly once peer-reviewed.

The assessment of global progress on ocean accounting is based on, and adapts, the structure and components of the Environment Statistics Diagnostic Tool to focus on ocean policy, statistics and accounts.

The assessment is regularly updated to take stock of global progress on ocean accounting (until 2022) and summarise key lessons learned for the global community of practice. Should you have any feedback or questions, please send them to info@oceanaccount.org.
