About GOAP Membership
The Global Ocean Accounts Partnership (GOAP) welcomes governments, institutions, and organizations committed to advancing ocean accounting. Membership provides opportunities to contribute to the development of ocean accounting standards, participate in capacity building initiatives, and share knowledge across the global community.
Membership Categories
Government Members
National and sub-national government agencies, particularly statistical offices, environmental ministries, and marine management authorities, are invited to join as government members. Government members play a key role in implementing ocean accounting frameworks and contributing national case studies.
Institutional Members
Academic institutions, research organizations, and international bodies can join as institutional members. These members contribute technical expertise, research capacity, and methodological development to the partnership.
Observer Status
Organizations with an interest in ocean accounting but not yet ready for full membership can participate as observers. Observers can attend meetings, access selected resources, and explore membership opportunities.
